Role Summary/Purpose The Senior Software Engineer will work as a valued team member of an agile software development team and develop high quality software products that meet very specific and sought after customer needs in a competitive product environment. In this role, you will help facilitate the team deliver high quality software.
Essential Responsibilities In addition, you will:
Be held accountable to functional business for project objectives
Work with NPI teams to develop engineering solutions that meet near-term and long-term product solutions
Provide technical consulting for technical problems
Provide imbedded technical leadership on projects
Drive technical advancement for own technical specialty
Support other GE businesses with technical expertise
Drive invention disclosures to protect intellectual property to create competitive advantage
Complete code reviews
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
Minimum of 10 years of experience in an Engineering capacity
Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.

Prior GE Engineering experience
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the business
Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
Demonstrated leadership in defining the state of the art in at least one technical specialty, along with the ability to teach and set standard practices within this field
Experience working with C#, C++, HTML5, Java
