Optimize analog and digital circuit designby identifying components, reviewing end-of-life component lifecycles, andconducting technical evaluation and testing. Use expertise in power supplies,microprocessors, microcontrollers, memories, peripheral interfaces and displays ofindustrial products.2. Review/compare component specifications between like components from thesame and different manufacturers, including specifications of electrical ICcomponents (purpose of each pin, timing, speed, voltage, and current limits) andeffects on circuits.3. Review of electrical component costs and highlight high-cost components andevaluate circuits and determine which components can be removed to simplifycircuits.4. Trained to utilize schematics design tools including Altium, Allegro Design Entry,ORCAD, and PCAD and simulation using LT SPICE to assist in cost reductionactivities. Use Six Sigma tools, such as Failure Modes, Effects, and DiagnosticAnalysis (FMEDA), to maintain reliability while designing less expensiveproducts.5. Follows well defined alternate component qualification process and performsqualification testing following Bently Nevada test methodology such asmanufacturing tests, temperature, humidity, GTEM, HALT, and calibration andvibration testing for specific prox. probes, seismic sensors, and enclosures.
