Staff 2, Associate Engineer

The Position
Staff Associate Engineers perform professional engineering assignments not requiring licensure by the State Board of Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is located within the Traffic Operations Division, Carson City. Incumbent will develop: signals, lighting and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) plans, specifications, and estimates; coordinate signal, lighting, and ITS projects with other divisions and outside agencies; follow departmental procedures for compliance with federal and state regulations and resolution of design conflicts; review plans, specification and estimates for compliance with departmental standards; assist, review, modify, and maintain signal, lighting, and ITS standards plans and specifications; and support the Traffic Operations Division with other duties, special projects, and new programs as required. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or closely related engineering field and two years of professional engineering experience; OR Certification by the Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors as an Engineer Intern, and two years of professional engineering experience in civil engineering or closely related engineering field; OR two years of experience as a Staff I, Associate Engineer or Supervisor I, Associate Engineer in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
